Launch of mach33.aero
mach33.aero was inaugurated on 21st Dec 2021 by Dr. Shekhar Mande, (DG, CSIR) in the presence of Dr. Jitendra Jadhav, (Director, CSIR NAL), Cmde Amit Rastogi, (Chairman, NRDC), Prashant Prakash (Partner, Accel) and Manoj Kumar (Founder, Social Alpha).
iDEX Showcase
Technology showcase hosted by mach33.aero for iDEX startups for a visiting delegation from Armenian Defence Ministry officials.
Visit of NRDC Chairman
Cmde Amit Rastogi (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director of National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) visited mach33.aero and interacted with the startups working on Defence & Space technologies. Potential opportunities for technology transfer from National Laboratories and access to seed funding were also discussed during the meeting.
University of South Australia Startup Delegation
mach33.aero hosted a delegation led by University of South Australia’s Innovation and Collaboration Center (ICC) comprising of startups working on various space technologies and applications. The interaction explored multiple collaboration opportunities between Indian and Australian startups under the India Space Initiative (ISI) launched by the Australian Space Agency.
Visit of Defence Minister of Argentina
H.E. Jorge Taiana, Defence Minister of the Argentine Republic, along with his delegation, visited the mach33.aero office where the iDEX Start-up & Innovation Showcase was being hosted. 13 iDEX portfolio start-ups had the opportunity to exhibit and demonstrate their innovations to the dignitaries present which also included Indian government officials. The event also explored future avenues of collaboration between India and the Argentine Republic.
One-Week-One Lab Program at NAL
mach33.aero curated few keynote sessions and a panel discussion to sensitise scientists and startups/MSMEs about the opportunities available for deep tech entrepreneurship, especially in the Aerospace and Defence sectors. Key investors, leading Spacetech startups and Social Alpha portfolio founders shared insights and experiences in an interactive format with the participants, and collaboration areas were identified for aspiring entrepreneurs to engage with the CSIR – NAL scientists and labs.
INDUS-X Investor Meet, Delhi
Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence and US Department of Defence, organised the maiden INDUS-X Investors Meet on 8 November 2023 at New Delhi.The event was co-ordinated by US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), IndusTech, and mach33.aero.
Meeting with DIU Delegation
mach33.aero hosted a delegation from Defence Innovation Unit (DIU) and US Dept of Defence along with iDEX, to get first-hand information about the work of the DIU and access to a larger network in the academics, defense, and policy space. This forum also helped to discuss challenges faced by the startups to scale businesses in the USA.
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Delegation visit
A delegation led by UKRI comprising startups, incubators and researchers visited mach33.aero to get a first-hand understanding of our work facilitated by T-Hub.
Visit of Japanese Space Delegation
mach33.aero hosted a delegation from Japan as part of the India-Japan Space Day program, comprising of officials from Prime Minister’s Office, JAXA, corporations and startups to discuss about India’s space innovation ecosystem and facilitate access to startups to work closely with Japanese partners.
Report Launch on Space Insurance
Mach33.aero , along with Spaceport Sarabhai hosted the launch of the report titled : Financial Risk Coverage of the Indian Space Industry. The session discussed various aspects of insurance coverage of Space related assets, including the need to develop comprehensive insurance and re-insurance capabilities.
Mach33 roundtable
mach33 Roundtable on “India US Space Strategy & Opportunities for Indian Startups” brought together top startups and VCs in Bangalore. Attended by senior officials from the US Space Policy (Office of Secretary of Defence) and US Space Force, this session offered unique perspectives and ideas for the upcoming engagements under the INDUS X umbrella.
